Located on the northwest of Lake Nahuel Huapi, in the south of the province of Neuquén, Villa La Angostura has one of the most picturesque mountain landscapes in Argentina. It is immersed in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, surrounded by lakes and framed by the main protected areas of Patagonia.
Villa La Angostura is today a warm mountain village, whose buildings made of stone and wood are in harmony with nature.
Its beaches, forests, waterfalls and mountains alter their colors and renew their beauty through the seasons.
Located in the heart of the Three Parks Seven Lakes region, in total harmony with the Nahuel Huapi National Park and the water mirrors that characterize this region: Lake Nahuel Huapi, Lake Correntoso and Lake Espejo.
This mountain village is connected to the Quetrihue Peninsula through the isthmus known as “La Angostura”, from which the town takes its name, whose particularity is that it is the gateway to Los Arrayanes National Park, where the only pure Arrayanes forest of this tree species on the planet is located.
Villa la Angostura is framed in a unique natural environment, free of pollution, in which the four seasons are perfectly differentiated. This makes it possible to offer changing natural scenarios in which a great diversity of activities can be carried out throughout the year.
The town is located 42 km from the border with Chile:
